Social and Behavioral Sciences Graduate School Ph.D. Preparatory Program (SBS Triple P or PPP)
The UF Social and Behavioral Sciences Graduate School PhD Preparatory Project (SBS Triple P), provides opportunities for undergraduate students from social and behavior sciences including mathematics to conduct research over a 2-yearperiod with a faculty member in their desired area of research. Please note, this program is not appropriate for students wanting law, medical, dental, veterinary, and MBA degrees, etc.
The key objective of the SBS Triple P project is to provide to real social and behavioral science research experiences in preparation for entry into quality PhD programs. Scholars will begin research in their junior year and continue up to graduation. Additionally, students will have opportunities to present their research at various conferences and participate in summer research at other universities.
- A full interest in pursuing a PhD (students interested in professional schools should not apply).
- Take the GRE before end of spring of junior year.
- Submit completed graduate school applications before the end of September
- Have no less than a 2.8 GPA.
- Participate and present at research conferences.
- Participate in summer research at a major university or research center after junior year.
- Establish and maintain a satisfactory relationship with their faculty research preceptor.
Scholarship: Students will receive a stipend/award of $3,000 for each completed fall and spring semester.

The current SBS Triple P is a project designed to expose underrepresented students in non-stem disciplines, with the exception of mathematics, to research and graduate education.
