Academics → Graduate Council

The Graduate Council assists the Graduate School Dean in developing programs and policies related to graduate study and research at the University of Florida.

The Graduate Council is made up of 12 elected and appointed members of the graduate faculty, a representative of the Graduate Student Council, a representative of the Graduate Coordinators Advisory Council and the Graduate School Dean, who chairs the council.

The Graduate Council meets at 1:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month during the fall and spring semesters in 264 Grinter Hall, unless otherwise notified.

In order to give Graduate Council members ample time to discuss proposals with department chairs or faculty members, deadline dates are set for submitting items for review and consideration for the council’s agenda.
