First “UF AI Days” Event Showcases Artificial Intelligence at University of Florida

Release Date: November 17 2022

The University of Florida’s first-ever AI Days, held October 26 through 28 at Emerson Alumni Hall and the Health Science Center’s Communicore Building, gave students, faculty, and staff opportunity to learn how artificial intelligence is reshaping higher education and research at UF, home of HiPerGator — one of the world’s fastest supercomputers.

The free three-day event drew 580 participants to an AI Pitch Competition (which awarded over $50,000 in prize money), an AI Hackathon, panel discussions, and poster sessions that highlighted how UF is growing into a leading AI university.
