Dr. Nicole Stedman is Associate Provost and Dean of the University of Florida Graduate School.

She is a three-time UF alumna: Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences (1998), Master of Science in Agricultural Education and Communication (2001), and Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education and Communication, with an emphasis in leadership education (2004).

She has served UF over 17 years as a professor, student mentor, published researcher, grants partner, associate department chair, Faculty Senate chair, and Board of Trustees member.

Her scholarship, grounded in critical thinking pedagogy, drives her collaborative work in developing models of Emotionally Engaged Thinking (EET), which promotes use of emotion as a catalyst for decision-making.

Her approach to graduate education is student-centered, with an emphasis on the critical role of mentorship and the importance of equipping graduates for diverse professional career opportunities both within and outside of academia.
